I thought this poem was very passionate towards rock music. It made me invision a hard-rocker that was very hostile towards rappers and their music. This poem did not use many literary techniques, but it did carry a little hint of alliteration in Rock and Roll. After reading this poem I felt a little shocked that the author was so into Rock music and attacked rap so much. This was definately a unique poem that I have never seen any thing like this. Overall, an okay poem but try to use more literary techniques less time.

I don't envision much after reading this poem, maybe the image that you have above it, but I don't see much.
The rhyming was a little choppy for me, as well as the flow. As dave mentioned above, there's not many uses of literary techniques. Something to consider in the future.
Reading this poem, it could possibly have some empowering effects on the reader if it demonstrated some better techniques, but it was close I guess. Basically the idea made me feel that way.

You have attacked a reasonable form of music when the basis of rock, (not only of the 80s, but stretching back to the 60s with bands such as The Who, who basically laid the foundation for punk rock), was free will and the right of expression. Rock was born from this as are many forms of music, including your disdained rap. So why attack a relative of your own?

Lastly, I just wanted to also say that the progression of music in the last century is extremely quick. Rapidly forms of music were discovered, but just as rapidly, they are being entwined. Many forms are similar to one another despite name differences. And as much as you may hate it, rap and rock are coming together...it started back with Aerosmith and RunDMC collaborating, and has been going for a while.
